Diva #194 “Embracing the Yuck”

Autumn here in the UK has been incredibly mild and although many trees have lost a lot of leaves the remaining ones are only now turning a lovely golden orange colour - this is quite a few weeks later than normal.

This was a difficult challenge that Laura's guest blogger, Elisa Murphy, has set whilst Artoo is having eye surgery. The idea to understand the helpless and powerless feelings that you have when your loved ones are undergoing surgery - see the Diva's blog here.

I fractured my shoulder 10 years ago and had successful surgery but occasionally I have a loss of fine motor control and this showed in the extra wobbly lines although they improved as I went along. Perhaps I should do more left handed tangling!

Challenge #193.
I also found last weeks challenge difficult in a different way.  The three tangles to make THX for Veterans Day - Remembrance Day her in the UK - were tricky to blend to together but eventually decided to put them inside Trio.

Thanks for passing by.  I hope to have more time this week to catch up on all the other entries which sadly I haven't really done for a while.

  1. Both of your challenge tiles are great. It looks like you even wrote the description left handed. I like the way you put XYP and Huggins inside Trio.

  2. I think your left handed tile is pretty darned good! I also love the little touch of red in each of your tiles. I like your THX tile, too. I found that challenge difficult, and you did a great job.

  6. I think both of your tiles are wonderful!! I love how things got easier in this weeks challenge as you kept going, and didn't give up.
The THX tile flows so beautifully no one would ever guess the struggle it was to get there!!

  8. Two nice tiles! Your left handed one is so nice! The brown touches, really bring it to life.... I wouldn't have tried that.... to scary! :)

  9. I enjoyed your non dominant tile. I'm envious of your Trio. You truly made it a TriTangle!

  10. Thanks for sharing your tiles from both challenges. I found them both difficult for different reasons. The tritangle because trio was completely new for me and "yuck" for obvious reasons. You, and most people, achieved far more control with your non-dominant hand than I was able to. Nice.
